The table below shows what is happening at Ranui in real time

On the right hand side there is a Key to the Values that add up to electricity generation (Output)

Key to Values

Output is the electricity being generated - It is measured in MW (1MW=1000kW).

Irradiance is a measure of the 'strength' of the sun. It is measured at the same angle as the panels (21 deg) and facing due north.

Voltage is the voltage at the point of connection of the solar farm and the Marlborough Lines 33kV sub transmission line.

If you want to explore further, click on the waffle (three lines located above), where you will find:

1. Graph - Last Hour : a graph showing the last hour of generation

2. Irradiance : a gauge showing the strength of the sun now

3. Output : a gauge showing the amount of electricity being generated now.
